Wild Social Micro Weddings

If you have been following us on social media you have probably seen me post and share about a second business. Maybe you have checked it out or maybe you are like what the heck is that?! This post it to share all things Wild Social and our little story behind this sweet biz!

I co-own Wild Social Micro Weddings with Mallory. Besides the title of biz partner in my life she also carries the titles of best friend, neighbor, and coworker. It was August of 2019 and I was the new teacher at the school that year. Mallory was sweet enough to make sure I was included at all the staff training lunches during that first week of teacher workshops. We had our first solo interaction in the copy room where I asked her how much she was over the teacher life. She was shocked because the rumors were that I was super dedicated to my teaching career. She told me she also wanted out of teaching and was stoked that I had started a wedding biz already.

In her classroom a few days later she said, "I had this feeling that someone was going to walk into my life and change it, and I think that's you!" so we started brainstorming. At first we were brainstorming ideas for her to start her own business. We talked about a coffee cart, crepes, and a few other ideas but nothing was sticking. Eventually we started talking about Mallory's wedding and how she wished she had done it differently. She told me about micro weddings because before COVID they weren't really a thing. That is when we had the idea to start an all inclusive micro wedding business. It started out as Pop of Color Micro Weddings but now is called Wild Social Micro Weddings. Yea I don't know what we were thinking with the first name... haha

Our business has evolved so much since January of 2020. We have grown and changed over and over again, and are finally settling in and deepening what our brand really means. I love working with Mallory! We are similar in the ways that make us life long friends but opposite in the ways that make us the best team! In fact she is so frickin' good at all the things that I am not good that she officially joined The Wandering Wagon team last week! She is going to play a key role in the behind the scenes of this biz and I am so stoked I could scream!

Our slogan for Wild Social is stress free, debt free, and cute AF. We are all about providing a luxury micro wedding for up to 50 guests at a fraction of the cost for a traditional wedding. We do the work so our couples don't have to. We handle the behind the scenes details and make up 6 of the wedding vendors so our couples can sit back and relax. After two zoom calls their job is done and they get to show up to a beautiful wedding day! Our package is for a couple that wants some of the traditional aspects of a wedding without the any of the fuss.

So what do we include? Mallory and I are the planners, stylers, and the rental company. We include the tables, chairs, linens, vases, signage, a lounge area, the styled ceremony space, a styled card and gift table, and a styled dessert table. We also include a mobile bar from The Wandering Wagon, mixers and garnishes for two specialty cocktails, ice, cups, hay straws, one bartender, bar tools, and a menu by Knapp Design co. We style the bar too! Fern and Bloom is the INCREDIBLE florist that we work with exclusively. She creates the piece for the arch, the bouquets, boutonniƩres, and there is an option to add on more floral through her. Our couples get to choose their color palette for floral and we pass on any inspiration photos they have to Fern and Bloom. Mallory and I supplement extra floral for the center pieces, to style the bar, to style the card and gift table, and to style the dessert table. Flick of the Whisk is the baker we work with exclusively. She provides a six inch cutting cake and cupcakes for our micro wedding package. Our couples choose the flavors for their cutting cake and for 5 dozen cupcakes. We include marble and wooden cake stands for the cake and cupcake display. Everything from Flick of the Whisk is DELICIOUS! Each wedding is so unique so this package is by no means a cookie cutter package. They are all adorable in their own way with very special touches!

Outside of our package our couples need to book a venue, catering, and a photographer. We have a preferred list of amazing vendors and venues to help get them started. Some couples splurge on some fun additions since they are saving money in so many areas. Some have booked bands, DJs, private chefs, videographers, beer donkeys, and jeep tours as a part of their day. I love Wild Social and everything it stands for. Our unique business model allows couples to have a stunning day that is stress free without breaking the bank. Head to Wild Social Micro Weddings if you have a guest count of up to 50 and would like to chat with us about having a stress free wedding that is the stinkin' cutest!
